A little bit about me.

I went to Amersham College in 1978 to study Fine Art.

From the early '80's I worked in Film Production as a Production Manager and had very little time to sketch let alone paint.  So after 10 years I left work to start a family which brought me back to painting.

I sketch and paint most days taking inspiration from where ever I find myself, walking the dogs in the Buckinghamshire countryside to seaside holidays here in the UK or abroad.  I have sketchbooks full with portraits of friends at girl's nights or restaurants, even parties.  More formally I Sketch, Paint and Sculpt, Portraits, the Human Form, Landscapes, Seascapes and Animals forever learning and welcome each challenge.  I love colour, shape and form, painting with Oils and Acrylics, Mixed Media and Collage for texture, also use Charcoal, Pastels and Pencils.  More recently I have been Painting with Colour Slips (coloured clay) and Drawing (sgraffito) on hand built Ceramic Forms and Sculpture.

I exhibit locally, nationally and internationally: Bucks Open Studios, West Wycombe Art Group, Marlow Art Society, Dorset Art Weeks, Mall Galleries (London).  Also my work is held in collections as far afield as Australia, South Africa, North America, Canada and Europe.
