A little bit about me.

I went to Amersham College in 1978 to study Fine Art.
From the early '80's I worked in Film Production as a Production Manager and had very little time to sketch let alone paint.  So when I started a family I went back to painting.

I sketch and paint most days taking inspiration from where ever I find myself, walking the dogs in the Buckinghamshire countryside to seaside here in the UK or abroad.  I have sketchbooks full with portraits of friends at girl's nights or restaurants, even parties.  More formally I paint and  portraits, the human form, landscapes, seascapes and animals forever learning and welcomes each challenge.  I love colour, shape and form, painting with oils, acrylics, mixed media and collage for texture, I also use Charcoal, Pastels and Pencils.

My ceramics are hand built, painted with colour slips (coloured clay) and sgraffito (drawn into) quite often in an abstract style.

I exhibit locally, nationally and internationally: Bucks Open Studios, West Wycombe Art Group, Marlow Art Society, Dorset Art Weeks, Mall Galleries (London).  Also my work is held in collections as far afield as Australia, South Africa, North America, Canada and Europe.

If you are interested in visiting me, buying, commissioning work or discussing my availability to teach or run a workshop, please do not hesitate to contact me.
